Rob Fenton is head Teacher at the National Environment Centre
responsible for the running of the organic farming, agroecology,
permaculture and conservation and land management programs.
These programs are delivered worldwide to farmers and other food

Rob is the developer and manager of Green Gate organic farm.
The farm is 200ha, 100ha of which produces food such as organic lamb,
pasture pork, pasture eggs, olive oil, honey, vegetables, some herbs, grain
that is milled on-farm and shitake mushrooms grown on logs from the farm system.

The food from this farm is sold directly to the people that eat
the food allowing the farm to access the retail margin.
Over the past few years Rob has been working with councils and farmer
groups looking at how to develop strong local food economies around the
country and how we market our produce at a local level.

8am – Depart Yea from Yea Recreation Reserve, Snodgrass St, Yea
Travelling to: TAFE National Environment Centre (Greengate Farm)
Ettamogah Rd, Thurgoona.
Arriving at approximately 11am and departing at 2.30pm
Returning: Yea at approximately 5.30pm
Whittlesea at approximately 6.30pm
