Landcare Forum

The Upper Goulburn Landcare Network, supported by the GBCMA’s Beyond Soilcare Program and the National Landcare Program, will be holding it’s second Landcare Forum for new landholders.

The number of people choosing to purchase land in a rural area -to have a ‘Tree Change’ – is growing. To get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, breathe in the fresh country air and take the opportunity to relax is certainly a worthwhile goal.

There are many things to consider when purchasing a property or, if you have taken that step, educating yourself on how to manage your property to get the best environmental, financial and social outcomes.

This event is designed to provide a starting point for gathering information for managing your property. We will provide  the key points regarding property planning,  animal care, preparing your property in case of fire and weed management.

There are also some legal requirements you may not be aware of.

Come and join us for this informative, informal session with an open mind and plenty of questions and we will guide you in the right direction, providing information and resources, contacts and support.

The Forum will be held on:

Saturday 4th March

Yea Butter Factory,

Rattray St, Yea

9am – 1pm

Morning tea and lunch provided.

This is a free event thanks to the support of the above mentioned programs.

Please RSVP with any dietary requirements to; uglandcare@ugln.net or 57974405 by Tuesday 28th February.
