Kinglake West Primary School officially registered as a Junior Landcare Group in 2022.
Kinglake West PS Junior Landcare received funding from the 2022 Victorian Junior Landcare and Biodiversity Grants program to build a Indigenous Sensory Garden in the school grounds.
Members of the Kinglake Landcare Group attended the school to talk to the students from their Sustainability Committee about some of the indigenous plants we have in the Kinglake Ranges that they can use in their sensory garden.
With members of Kinglake Landcare the students have also been planting some of our local indigenous plants in an area of the school that they had prepared and removed weeds.
