Photography Competition

Our annual photography competition was held recently with 37 entries in three categories – Native Flora and Fauna, senior and junior and Yea Wetlands, senior. There were no entries in the Yea Wetlands junior section.

The standard of the entries as usual was very high, with photographs taken in various locations around Australia.

This year we have the support of the Yea and District Community Bank who have sponsored the Competition, providing the prize money.

The entries were judged by two members of the local Yea Camera Club, Kerry Gouldthorpe and Alan Cole, with senior prize winners receiving $250 and junior prize winners receiving $100. The winning photographs were announced at an event held at the Y Water Discovery Centre on Saturday 1st April.
