Target Kids Teaching Kids Forum
On Tuesday 10th September, eight schools from the Murrindindi Shire will be gathering at the Yea Wetlands to share their knowledge.
Schools across the shire are currently incorporating environmental studies into their curriculum. It is these projects which the kids will present to each other at the forum. Two schools who are leading the way with their environmental programs, Buxton and Alexandra Primary Schools, will present to the whole group of approximately 80 students. There will be a whole group presentation at the start of the day, the schools will then break up into groups of two schools and present their programs to each other. There will be a lunch break where The Connies, animals from The Haven, and craft demonstrations will be on show to entertain the kids. Following lunch, the final whole group presentation will take place before the kids hop back on their buses to return to school.
This day is being sponsored by the Target Kids Teaching Kids program and the Upper Goulburn Landcare Network.
